Backyard Asada

Our familia’s gatherings feature a lineup of many dips, but one that is an absolute must is Guacamole! We added grilled corn, serrano peppers, onion, and cilantro to our classic guac recipe for a kick of flavor, zest, and just a little spice. Now all that’s left to do is rip open a bag of Maíz Totopos Corn Tortilla Chips and dip, crunch, repeat!

Our Salsa Roja is mild-heat, creamy, and gets its vibrant red color from guajillo chiles and fresh tomatoes. Pair it with crispy tortilla chips for dipping (might we suggest our new Maíz Totopos Corn Tortilla Chips or Grain Free Tortilla Chips?), or drizzle it on top of your favorite meals—like tacos and burritos—for an extra bit of flavor and mild spice!

It’s got a whole lot of flavor from roasted tomatoes, green chilis, and a variety of seasonings, plus it’s vegan so that everyone can get a taste.

Do you like simple, easy-to-make salsas? If so, our  Salsa Cruda has already got your name on it! Simply blend your fresh ingredients—like tomatoes, onions, and cilantro—together to make this light and mild salsa (and serve with your favorite Maíz Totopos)!

We made ours with avocado oil, serrano peppers, tomatillos, cilantro, and other delicious ingredients to give it a robust flavor. The result? Our Hibiscus Margarita Mocktail is a refreshing-ly sweet & tangy mocktail featuring our NEW Chamoy Botana Sauce. You may be wondering, what’s hibiscus? Hibiscus is a flowering plant that when soaked in water and strained makes for a tart and vibrant beverage! We grew up drinking hibiscus agua fresca (we called it Jamaica!) at our favorite restaurants, taco shops, and corner stores, so we’re excited to share this recipe full of nostalgic flavor with you.
