The temperature is rising and the sandia (watermelon) is calling our name. "Siete!" it says, "it's time for an ice cold agua fresca!" Agua frescas translates to "fresh water" but our family enjoys them as chilled drinks filled with our favorite fruits' juices. This refreshing Watermelon Mint Agua Fresca is perfect for any hot summer day, and tastes so good a sip might leave you saying "fresc-aaaaah."

Ingredients 

  • 2 lbs Watermelon chunks 
  • 15 pieces Fresh Mint 
  • 1 cup Light Agave Nectar
  • 3 Limes, Juiced 
  • Pinch of Salt 

Directions

  1. In a blender place 1 lb of cut watermelon, ½ mint leaves,  and 1 qt of water. Blend until smooth and place in a large pitcher.
  2. Repeat with the remaining 1 lb of watermelon, mint, and water. Combine in pitcher with agave nectar, lime juice, and pinch of salt.
  3. Serve chilled.
