Because we believe you can do anything you set your mind to, we'll admit to having mixed feelings about this juicy, orange melon being called a "cantaloupe" instead of a CANaloupe, but we digress.  It's an absolutely bright and delightful base to this Cantaloupe Chia Agua Fresca! Just add a little water, lime, chia, maple syrup and soon enough you'll be slurping and saying "fresc-aah."

Ingredients 

  • 1 ½ lbs or 1 Melon 
  • ½ Tbsp Chia Seed
  • 3 Limes, juiced 
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup 
  • 2 quarts Water

Directions

  1. Place melon, ½ quart of water in a blender with maple syrup and lime juice. Blend until smooth. 
  2. Place puree in a large pitcher and add 1 ½ quarts of cold water. Add chia seeds. Refrigerate and let sit for 30 mins before serving.
