Entertainment and Workouts to Keep You Feeling Good

Below, our family has collected some of our favorite songs, movies, books, recipes, and workouts to share with you. We hope it incites a little happiness, entertainment, flavor, movement, and community into your day.

Music has the undeniable ability to make you move, think about the lyrics, beats, or maybe even nothing at all. Siete team members, Imani and Jake, curated a few fun playlists to turn up, help you get moving, and hopefully brighten your day.

Cooking con Siete Playlist  (45 minutes)

Work From Home Playlist (2 hours)

Movies for instant transportation, from the comforts of your own home. Aaron, our resident movie buff (literally though… you should check out those biceps!) and Creative Director, whipped up this list of his family’s classic feel-good favorites:

  • Coco (Also a Siete-Family favorite!)
  • Won’t You Be My Neighbor
  • Frozen 2
  • Up
  • Hitch
  • Hidden Figures

They say “not to judge a book by it’s cover,” but what about when it comes to TV? Apparently, love is in the air, on the mind, and on our family's TVs screens. We wouldn’t judge you if you judged us on our guilty pleasures which include but, of course, are not limited to:

  • 90 Day Fiance (of which we happened to uncover an underground cohort of superfans for this morning)
  • Love is Blind (Lauren and Cameron forever),
  • Pretty much everything on Disney+
  • The new season of Top Chef
  • The Glow Up (surprisingly addictive).

When you feel like unplugging, kicking your feet up, and snuggling up with a book, our team has our together a list of some of our favorite books:

  • Becoming by Michelle Obama
  • We Are Never Meeting In Real Life by Samantha Irby
  • Yes Please by Amy Poehler
  • Everything Begins and Ends at The Kentucky Club by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
  • Heart Talk by Cleo Wade
  • White Teeth by Zadie Smith
  • The Dearly Beloved by Cara Wall
  • Educated by Tara Westover

To inspire easy, flavorful meals, here are some of our favorite simple recipes:

Before Siete, was our first family business, G7 Athletics, a CrossFit gym in Laredo, TX. Even though we’re now in Austin and focused on bringing grain free goods to everyone, practicing a healthy lifestyle has always been a part of our family’s journey to health. So, we wanted to share some ways to keep active and get your blood pumping, no matter where you’re based!
