These Mexican Hot Dogs are our go-to for using leftover Charro Beans from our weekend backyard asadas. Piled high with all of our favorite toppings, we like to think this is what people mean when they reference the "dog days of summer!" Whether you make them on the grill or using your kitchen comal, we hope you enjoy them with your friends and familia because Juntos es Mejor (and because it serves 4-6 people!). ¡Buen Provecho!

Directions

Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat.

Wrap each hot dog in a piece of bacon and place seam side down in the hot pan. Cook for at least 7 minutes on all sides.

Add the sliced bell peppers and onions to the pan and stir until charred and softened.

Heat the can of beans in a small sauce pan over medium heat.

Remove the veggies and hot dogs from the pan. Place the hot dog buns in the pan to toast slightly.

To build each hot dog, place a bacon wrapped hot dog in the center of each bun. Top with beans, sliced peppers & onions, spicy salsa, jalapeño botana sauce, mustard, and mayo.
