A: It's a source of inspiration where we pull from food, destination and techniques bringing meaning of life through fragrance.

Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My heritage inspires my craft by keeping me connected to where I come from. Growing up in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by my family and a strong sense of community, I learned the importance of culture, tradition, and supporting one another. My jewelry allows me to express those values through creativity and handmade pieces. Every design is a reflection of myself, the people who have supported me, and the pride I have in where I come from.

Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My Venezuelan heritage inspires me through the creativity, warmth, and joy I grew up with. As a little girl, I loved making jewelry with my primas, and that playful creativity eventually became ELLA✨ Now, being a mom inspires me in a whole new way. My son motivates me to keep chasing my dreams, building something I love, and showing him that you can create a life that feels true to you💜

A: My Mexican heritage inspires my craft through a deep appreciation for nature, color, tradition, and the beauty of creating welcoming spaces. I love bringing those influences together through plants and design in a way that feels personal, vibrant, and rooted in culture.

Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My heritage has instilled in me a profound respect for natural materials, a “do-it-yourself” attitude and resourcefulness. Growing up I was surrounded by artisans and makers of different mediums and this ignited a passion when I found my chosen medium: woodworking. With honeywood, I honor my heritage by blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and being mindful not to create waste. These pieces not only serve a purpose throughout the home, but also tell a story of family, culture and artistry and will hopefully become the next generation of heirlooms.

From humble beginnings in Laredo, TX, Hutto Soap & Candle Company was born from a dream to share ethical, effective and exciting soap and skincare products. A: Our heritage is in every part of what we do. We aim to create nostalgia and empowerment by reminding the Latino community that we belong and deserve to be successful.

Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My Mexican heritage has inspired me to practice gratitude l for all I have and what already exists among us. In my work, this looks like using upcycled fabric to create clothes and accessories that can bring joy to others. I often think about how crafts, like sewing, have been passed down by generations and have been a way for ancestors' legacy to live on in what we make or repair. I strive to do my part of ensuring this craft continues!

A: I create clay work that is rooted in land, nostalgia, and belonging. As a biracial brown woman of Mexican and Indian heritage, I carry lineage in my hands every time I touch clay. My practice is a way of returning to the earth, to my ancestors, and to the quiet in-between moments of life.

A: I design my stationery with inspiration from the things that bring me joy, which is often connecting to my cultura and with nostalgia for my childhood raised on both sides of the border. Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My Mexican heritage, especially my mother’s, who was born in Mexico, inspires me to honor the traditions that have been passed down through generations. Whether that's supporting a family-run studio to curate our collections or never missing a tamalada here at home, she has always reminded me to never forget where we come from.

Sol & is a small, family owned and operated online retail store committed to recognizing and supporting the strength of those navigating infertility. With every purchase, we donate to those navigating infertility, supporting them through their journey. We will forever aim to source from creators and artisans who are part of the Black, Latinx, or Asian communities, are woman-owned, and/or give back to charitable causes.

A: IVF mama. Family business. Fighting infertility together.

Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My family is Native American, Hispanic, and Mexican. That's part of why Sol & only sources from makers who aren't partnered with mass retailers, who are in minority communities, or woman-owned. I know what it feels like when people who look like you don't get the shelf space they deserve.

Those same roots are why I look for creatives and artisans for everything Sol & carries. Every piece has to pass one test: would someone I actually love wear this? That's why so many pieces get named after real people in my life, like Brittney's jeans. If it wouldn't work for her, it doesn't make it into the shop.

TOMO mags: A magazine shop, archival haven, and concept store in downtown Austin. The shop carries independent and international titles chosen so readers can build a library worth returning to.

Workshops and exhibitions run throughout the year. It is a place to slow down and look closely.

A: A creative entrepreneur shaping brands and spaces through print, design, and mentorship.

Q: How does your heritage inspire your craft?
A: My heritage is one layer of who I am. What pulls me toward it is part responsibility and part nostalgia, and I love being in the dialogue even while I am still learning. My culture is rich and layered, so I try to share more than one perspective from inside it. That is exactly how I approach anyone else's, with curiosity and care, because theirs is layered too.
