Corn is a crop with deep roots in our Mexican heritage that our ancestors have been eating and enjoying using the ancient process of nixtamalization for thousands of years. This process changes the profile of the corn (and gives it that great, nostalgic flavor!) by soaking the kernels in lime and then stone-grinding them to make masa (dough).
We love the Siete brand! This past delivery was a bit disappointing though. The Maíz Lime Totopos Corn Tortilla Chips 7.5oz - 6 Bags were not packaged very well and a lot of the chips were smashed. We probably will not be ordering this item again as we do understand how fragile they are, but we will try to purchase them in a store instead. We love these chips by the way and we hope more stores will carry them! Thank you very much.
United StatesI bought a bag for my family and everyone enjoyed them. Taste was great! The only bummer is that the bag was filled with more than half of just air, less than half was actual chips. Feel like that’s false advertisement.
United StatesIt is hard to find products that aren't fried in garbage oils, so I was excited to try these. The texture and corn flavor was great, but the level of salt was unbearable and I had to toss them. These literally burned my lips with salt. Siete - please reconsider the amount of sodium (at least 50% less!) in your otherwise great products!
