Siete Family Foods
2 ½ lbs of filling of choice (we suggest pork, chicken, or jackfruit)
1 packet of Siete Carnitas Seasoning Slow Cooker Spice
1 package Siete Grain Free Cassava Flour Tortillas
In a slow cooker, add 2 ½ lbs of filling of choice and ½ cup of water. Cook on low setting for 6-7 hours (for pork shoulder) or until tender (for other fillings).
Once filling is cooked, reserve ½ cup of cooking liquid, and drain the rest.
Add carnitas seasoning packet to the filling with ½ cup of cooking liquid. Mix well.
Enjoy in tacos (makes 24), with rice, rice alternative, or chef's choice.
For crispy carnitas, spread the seasoned filling over a sheet tray, and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until crispy.

Growing up in a house of seven, dinner was a balancing act to say the least. Some of us wanted pizza, some of us wanted frijoles, some of us wanted tacos— it really depended on the day. Our mom, Aida, was up for the challenge. She took two of those cravings and started cutting what we called "bolillos" (rolls of bread) in half, smearing butter across the top, and covering them in frijoles, pizza sauce, cheese, and sticking them in the oven. We didn’t really have a name for these until one day it hit us. From our family to yours, Frijolizzas.
