Beans are back. For those of you who are on the fence about beans, beans, the magical fruit, hear us out. Enter our dream sequence, back to Grandma Campos’s house, where the savory aroma of a fresh pot of beans flooded each room...beans, garlic, cumin, chili powder, and salt…[Beans bring us home, basically.] What’s cool beans about our new dip is that it’s made from pinto beans that have been sprouted and then pressure cooked. Without getting all scientific, we believe this specific preparation process relieves a little pressure on the front end—instead of the back end—if you know what we mean. In other words, everyone can linger a little longer at the fiesta, without living in fear of accidentally clearing the room (oof). If you’re thinking, “where has this recipe bean all my life,” we couldn’t agree more.
We treat our queso and dips like little pots of gold. In Siete storage-speak, this means that our quesos and dips should be stored in the fridge and consumed within 7 days of opening, so it tastes like gold. And, although we've heard "all things in moderation" (to which we think, "including moderation"), we do not recommend freezing our vegan quesos and dips to make them last longer; the texture and quality of flavor may change once frozen. Consequently, our jars are not specifically freezer safe. Safety first!
