Meet Our Whole30 Approved Foods! - Sietefoods.com

January 17, 2020

Our family is so excited to announce additions to our line of Whole30 Approved foods! Here to support you on your Whole30 journey is our Green and Red Enchilada Sauce, our Spicy and Mild Taco Seasonings, and all of our Hot Sauces.

Creating Whole30 Approved foods is an awesome opportunity for our family to honor an important part of our mission, which is to help everyone feel included at the table, no matter dietary restrictions, intolerances, or preferences. We want to create foods made with simple ingredients that don’t sacrifice health for flavor, that people can enjoy with health-goals in mind.

We’re honored to support those on their journey to health with Whole30 just as we supported our sister, Veronica, as a family. Juntos es Mejor, together is better!

Get the scoop on our new Whole30 Approved game-changers below:

whole30 enchilada sauce

Green Enchilada Sauce: As the age-old adage goes, “the best things in life are green.” Or—even if that’s not how it goes—this bright and tangy Green Enchilada Sauce makes a strong case for our alternative interpretation. It’s made from whole vegetables like roasted tomatillos, onions, and jalapeños. Use this sauce to: give your enchiladas a zesty-bite; bring some delight to your next crockpot potluck; or bake some green goodness into breakfast chilaquiles.

Siete Enchilada sauce

Red Enchilada SauceSince the beginning of time, humankind has been trying to bottle-up love (or, at least since 1964—remember “Love Potion Number 9,” anyone?). While we’re not here to make love potions, this Red Enchilada Sauce is sure doing the trick because we’re head over heels in love with it! Made withtomatoes, chili spice, and dates, we hope this nostalgic and hearty sauce puts the “love” into your enchila-loves. (Let us know how you like it and maybe we can retable the possibility of naming it “Love Potion Number Siete.”)

Whole30 Approved Siete Spicy Taco Seasoning

Spicy Taco Seasoning: Coming in hot to taco night with a Spicy Taco Seasoning packet that brings the flavor and the heat! Made with a savory blend of chili, tomato, cumin, and jalapeño, this seasoning has us hanging on our every bite, and singing “spice, spice, baby.”

Whole30 Approved Siete Mild Taco Seasoning

Mild Taco Seasoning: When it comes to taco night, are you the type of person who likes to “take a walk on the mild side?” If so, this Mild Taco Seasoning is for you! We dialed down the heat so we could amp-up the flavor. Created with a delicate blend of tomato, garlic, chili, and cumin, we think you’ll find this one suits you just right.

whole30 hot sauce

Hot Sauce: When it comes to hot sauce, we approach it with a “flavor first, fire second” mentality. Our South Texas style hot sauces are not meant to be daredevil, burn-your-esophagus hot. Instead, we’ve created four versatile sauces that are full of flavor, and can be added to your Whole30 meals as marinades, splashes of seasoning, salad dressings, and dips. As dear ole Plautus once said, “Spice a dish with love and it pleases every palate.”

What Does Our Mexican-American Hyphen Sound Like?

August 02, 2021

Within our family, each of us have our own stories that come to mind when thinking about what it means to be Mexican-American. These experiences—of emotions, smells, tastes, sights, and sounds—are nostalgic to us, and embody what it means to “live the hyphen.”Living the hyphen is an important part of who we are not only as individuals or as a family, but on a larger scale, as a part of the Mexican-American community. Following the previous questions we’ve asked the Garzas about their hyphen, we’ve reached the final question: what does their Mexican-American hyphen sound like?

The foods and occasions that the Garzas reflect on in their answers paint a picture of the way (and why) we gather together as a company, years later. They are the same foods that we enjoy on Friday Lunches, summer cookouts, and holiday parties. Their smells bring us to fond memories of living our hyphen, and our nostalgia surrounding them is at the core of the foods we make, and the experience we hope to recreate at your table.

For some, it looked like a family relic of La Virgen de Guadalupe. For others, it looks like the traditions of gathering around spaghetti on Christmas, and regularly, without occasion. To each Garza, however, our hyphen is both literal and symbolic of connection.
