Ahh, the Carne Guisada taco. You can find this saucy dish at almost every carne asada, quinceñera, and wedding in South Texas. And now, it can even be found in your home! Made with our Red Enchilada Sauce, this guisada sauce marinates and cooks cubed beef with sautéed onions, garlic, and oregano. And what makes this Carne Guisada Taco recipe feel like home? 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
1 small White Onion, sliced thin
4 Garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ lbs Beef stew meat, 1-inch cubes
1 Bayleaf
1 tsp Dry Oregano
1 Siete Red Enchilada Sauce
1 Can Tomato Sauce (15 oz)
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
8 Siete Grain Free Cassava Tortillas
Garnish: Fresh Cilantro
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil, onions, and garlic. Sauté for 10 minutes.
Add meat and sauté for an additional 10 minutes.
Add Siete Enchilada Sauce, tomato sauce, oregano, bay leaf, apple cider vinegar, and season with salt and pepper.
Cover with lid and cook on medium heat for 35 minutes or until beef is fork-tender.
Heat each Siete Grain Free Cassava Tortilla over medium-high heat on a skillet, about 10-15 seconds on each side.
Make tacos with beef guisada, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve.
